pbpm_bootie002 xejax-kaperinya coverWe are glad to announce that after more than an year we have a new track on our Bootie netlabel imprint (last.fm label link: pbpm) and I can assure it was worth the waiting. As always we aim at bringing quality to the scene more than quantity and this release is no other than true raw house music delivered from the Israeli artist Xejax.

Yoav Lavi aka Xejax was born in Brazil, Porto Belo. In 1985 he was transported to the Middle East by a plane and there he was exposed to the rythmic klangs on his father’s ship & became a noise-fanatic. In 1996 he began to experiment with electronic music, first with primitive amature programs and with time he and his skills improved.

Lavi, being the versatile producer and designer that he is, has a constantly shifting style, is often involved in multiple music projects at a time under many different monikers.

With this release for the porno bpm’s bootie imprint xejax delivers a future retro house track with raw vocal action on top of groovy beats with. In way its electro but on the other hand there is a dark strong acid house feel to it. A must have for anyone demanding to drop something spicy and alcoholic in their sets!

The remixes are true example for this skill behind the names of KiNK and Walmon. Although these guys have been known in the field of down-tempo and IDM for their collaborative work as Walmon & KiNK here they present their separate 4×4 approaches on a house track.

KiNK has been carving for a while his own path in the more 4×4 oriented dancefloors with steady production of successful raw, bleepy, freaky house and with this remix he is not far from it again – it’s a peak time track ready to blow any sound system with its heavy subbass and weirdly funky breaks.

Walmon’s remix is a deep and techy improvisation of the original with a heavy bassline and you get slowly carried away by the growing 303 line.

Have a pleasant journey!
